Rookie (formerly T-Ball & Farm B) for Boys & Girls          

Rookies Rules

 

1. GAMES: Games are limited to 3 innings. Playtime will be limited to 1hour.

 

2. COACH PITCH: Coaches will pitch from 20’- 25’ feet. A batter will receive 4 pitches and then hit off the tee. No one strikes out.

 

3. RUNNERS: Runners can be forced out or tagged out running the bases. Runners take one base at a time unless ball is hit to the outfield grass.

 

4. SLIDING: Sliding will not be permitted. Stealing bases is not permitted.

 

5.BATTERS: Bat entire lineup each inning until 4/2, batters can hit into an out, be tagged out or forced out, no one strikeouts. Starting 4/9 each Inning is limited to 3 outs or 5 runs.

 

6. DECORUM: Swearing, foul language, derogatory or inflammatory statements by Managers, Coaches, players or parents is grounds for immediate ejection and suspension.

 

7. Two Adult BASE COACHES are allowed on offense. 2 coaches are allowed in the field on defense. A minimum 1 bench coach is required in thedugout at all times. 

 

8. PLAYTIME: Everyone plays the field. Defense consists of 1 pitcher, 1 catcher, 4 infielders. Everyone else plays in the outfield grass behind arc. Rotate your players, everyone will play 2 innings in the infield if times allows.

 

9. PLAY ENDS: Pitchers Hand, Play shall end when the ball is thrown in the pitchers direction at the mound (pitcher does not have to catch or have possession of ball).
